From Adrift Wiki

Adrift is a survival game developed by Ash. In the game, players take on the role of a person washed up on a beach and left to fend for themselves on an archipelago with many secrets. The game will soon be available on Steam. Feel free to add to the wiki; any help is appreciated. We don't care if you suck at writing; just write. Anything to help the wiki.

Overview

[edit]

Adrift has lots of progression and different ways to play. It is inspired by the game 'The Survivalists' by Team17 and borrows its art style and general feel. However, Adrift is different because it goes beyond a traditional survival game, adding lore, a sanity system, alloying, and much more!

Gameplay

[edit]

Each day offers a chance to get more resources and advance technologically. However, you must fight for your life at nightfall if you don't sleep. The game is based around sailing from island to island and getting more materials and fighting harder enemies.

Core Mechanics

[edit]
  • Exploration: The player starts on a simple island with basic resources and not much to offer. However, as they continue through the game, they will make something very important: the raft. The raft unlocks a major part of the game by allowing seafaring and exploring the other, more dangerous islands.
  • Lore: The islands were once home to a race known as the 'Ancients'. Little is known about them. (Go beat the game's secret ending to find out!)
  • Survival: The game has a hunger, health, thirst, and sanity system along with other values and stats. Survival can prove somewhat difficult, especially with some major limitation.
  • Combat: There is lots of combat in Adrift, with many animals and enemies to fight and challenging bosses that will make you question your existence.
